Chris Lipscombe (
Klingon name:
qurgh lungqIj, born June 25th 1978
) is an experienced
Klingonist working on many projects and websites. He holds the
KLCP rank of
po'wI' (advanced). He chose his Klingon name
qurgh, meaning
beans, because he is a fan of "Mr. Bean". He is also a member of the
Klingon Assault Group (KAG) and runs a large Klingon language website called
tlhIngan Hol 'ampaS (Klingon Language Academy).
He was inducted into the order of the
Friends of Maltz at
qep'a' in
2016 for his work on the Klingon Language Institute's website.

Klingon language is without any doubt his translation of the Charles Dickens' famous play
A Christmas Carol into
A Klingon Christmas Carol . From 2007 until 2013
[citation needed] he was the language coach for the play in Chicago and for the 2013 showing of the play in Ohio.
