Daniel Dadap

Daniel Dadap, also known by his Klingon name Hugh Son puqloD DapDap tuq – also briefly as DanIlmoH and De'nIl – or just Hugh, is an American Klingonist living in Austin, TX. He has contributed to a number of different Klingon-language projects, including:

• Klingon pIqaD Tools, including ipIqaD, a Mac OS X keyboard layout, and the Klingon Universal Transliterator (1)(2)
• pIqaD qolqoS font(3)

Name

The name Hugh name is not the ta' Hol word Hugh, meaning throat, but rather the Morskan dialect pronunciation of Qugh, meaning disaster. This is the same name as the name of Captain Kruge from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock; however, Hugh still pronounces his name as Hugh and not Qugh, even when speaking the standard ta' Hol dialect.
