Lieven L. Litaer (born 1980, Klingon name Quvar valer, which he does not use any more) discovered Star Trek in 1991 and became a Klingonist in 1995. He was born in Belgium, but has been living in Germany most of his life. He holds the KLCP rank of po'wI' (expert). In 2013, Lieven was responsible for the correction of the awfully translated German Klingon Dictionary. Since he had started his YouTube Channel, he is known in the web as the "Klingon Teacher from Germany". In summer 2017, he has published the first Klingon textbook entitled "Klingonisch für Einsteiger" (Klingon for Beginners).

During his mission on teaching the Klingon language, Lieven has appeared in some television shows in Germany:
  • 2018 Teaching Klingon at Kaya Yanar's show
  • 2017 Answering a question in the quiz show 5 gegen Jauch
  • 2017 Appearance in the TV show "Miss Wildcard" on German channel SkyHD as a Klingon language teacher for comedian Lena Liebkind, as a preparation to go participate in Miss Klingon at Treklanta Con.
