The difference between quv and batlh is that quv refers to a personal honor and batlh means "honor" in general:

Dr. Okrand has also differentiated them by saying that quv "is associated with reputation, dignity, and respect" and that batlh is "associated with integrity, rectitude, scruples, and principles."
