Note that "illumination" here does not mean "clarification, explanation, explication" or the like.

tamghay Hurgh ["dark light"] sounds odd to me for some reason. I think it would be tamghay wovHa', which perhaps could be translated as "dim light."

In Star Trek: Discovery, Lorca is not sensitive to light itself (otherwise he could only live in absolute darkness), what he is sensitive to is wovtaHghach, "light" in the sense of brightness.
