More Information

From the given examples, it seems this words does not only refer to the person ("a Klingon") but it can also be interpreted adjectivally as "of Klingon origin". For example, while it is clear that tlhIngan Hol is the "language of the Klingons", the proverb talking about a tlhIngan SuvwI' (TKW p. 77) refers to "a warrior that is of Klingon origin" but not "warrior of Klingons".

Most of the times, it can be interpreted in both ways, as tlhIngan Segh could mean both "race of the Klingons" or "race which is Klingon".
