At the time of the word's creation, people argued about its reason of existence. Ironically, two years later the tardigrade became a main character in Star Trek: Discovery, and the word appeared in the Klingon subtitles on Netflix hundreds of times.

A second new word that appeared in this project was "slug, snail" tera' nagh DIr charwI' mach (literally "terran small stone-skin slimy one")
